So just what is anxiety? Anxiety is a feeling of worry, nervousness, unease fear, and above all apprehension about something that hasn’t yet happened with an uncertain outcome.
When we feel anxious, a chain of automatic events occurs in our bodies this prepares us for "fight or flight" response, it is our survival reaction. Anxiety in small amounts is good, it keeps us on our toes! However anxiety in large amounts can lead to panic disorders, crippling emotions and irrational behaviour.
